Annie Zamora, RDH
Registered Dental Hygienist

With more than nine years of experience in dental hygiene, Annie is known for her compassionate approach, gentle care, and deep commitment to helping patients achieve lifelong oral health. Her unique background in both healthcare and human advocacy allows her to connect with patients on a more personal level, creating an experience that feels welcoming, supportive, and genuinely caring.

Originally from Yakima, Washington, Annie attended Washington State University, where she studied sociology and communication before earning her Bachelor’s Degree in Dental Hygiene from Yakima Valley College. Her educational background gives her a strong understanding of both patient communication and whole-person care — something patients immediately notice when they meet her.

Before entering dentistry, Annie worked in nonprofit housing case management, helping individuals and families navigate difficult life circumstances. That experience shaped her philosophy of patient care and strengthened her passion for advocacy, empathy, and creating meaningful human connections.

Throughout her career, Annie has gained experience in a diverse range of dental specialties, including community health, prosthodontics, cosmetic dentistry, integrative dentistry, and general dentistry. Her broad clinical background allows her to provide comprehensive, detail-oriented care while helping patients feel relaxed and informed every step of the way.

Her passion for service extends far beyond dentistry. Annie has worked in women’s transit services at Washington State University, volunteered with the Latino Vote Project, served as a court-appointed special advocate (CASA) for Yakima Juvenile Court, and participated in a community development program through the University of Cape Town, where she tutored adults in computer literacy and children in mathematics.

Patients especially appreciate Annie’s calming presence and her ability to make dental visits feel comfortable and stress-free. She has a strong interest in the connection between oral health and overall wellness, including natural and integrative approaches to healthcare. Her goal is not only to improve smiles, but to help patients feel healthier, more confident, and truly cared for.

Outside the office, Annie enjoys staying active and adventurous through hiking, kayaking, fitness, dancing, and cooking. She also treasures spending quality time with her 17-year-old daughter and embracing the balance between family, wellness, and personal growth.

What Annie loves most about dentistry is building lasting relationships with her patients and helping them feel empowered about their health. Her combination of experience, warmth, and dedication makes her an invaluable part of the team and a favorite among patients seeking exceptional dental care.
