Are you afraid of the dentist?

As many as 40 million Americans refuse to go to the dentist because of a fear of needles. If you’re skipping out on recommended dental care, you’re putting more than just your teeth at risk. Recent research indicates that the health of your mouth reflects the health of your body as a whole.

Studies show that bacteria in the teeth and gums can enter the bloodstream and contribute to health conditions such as heart disease, diabetes, pregnancy complications and premature birth, lung conditions, and pancreatic cancer. By taking care of your teeth and gums, you can help prevent certain health conditions. Explore all our cutting edge technologies we use at Da Vinci Dental to make your visit at painless as we possibly can below:

We offer NEEDLE FREE INJECTIONS

The past decades have been dedicated to research and development in collaboration with dentists to develop a solution for local anesthesia, without using needles. The breakthrough device is the Injex 30. The technology for needle free injections was developed for diabetic patients who had to inject thesmelves with painful needles on a daily basis.

The reason an injection with INJEX is less painful, is because the skin is penetrated by an extremely fine jet of medication instead of a syringe. This breakthrough technology allows Dr. Beau Keller and Dr. Andrew Keller to offer our patients almost painless and safe local anesthesia, while preserving the skin through a needle-free system.

The DentalVibe is a unique tool that can help alleviate dental fear and anxiety, allowing you to get the dental treatment you need to stay healthy. The DentalVibe provides gentle vibration to the site of the dental injection. This vibration overloads the nerve that sends pain signals to the brain so that you don’t register the pain or discomfort from the injection. The sound of the vibration creates an added distraction, and the vibration also helps disperse the anesthesia once it’s injected so that it can work even faster.

Patients who experience an injection with the DentalVibe are often unaware when the injection actually occurs. The DentalVibe is especially helpful in reducing dental fear among children. In fact, many patients have said that if such a tool had been available when they were younger, their dental fears would never have begun.

The Wand is a computer-controlled dental injection system. The flow rate of the local anesthetic is controlled accurately by a computer. This means that the injection is guaranteed to be slow and steady and therefore more comfortable.

Most people who have had a bad experience with injections think that needles sting because the skin is pierced, but this is usually not so! Most often, the sting was caused because the anesthetic was fired in too quickly. Obviously, it is possible for the dentist to control the speed with a standard syringe, but the idea of the Wand is to take out the “human error”. This can be very reassuring for people with previous bad experiences.

Potent Topical Anesthetic Gel

When a potent topical gel such as ELMA is applied properly prior to any dental procedure, it can have profound pain eliminating effects. Perhaps the most common error when applying topicals in dentistry is to underestimate the importance of how dry the area of skin must be prior to application. The second common error is using a lower quality and lower concentration numbing gel. When the skin is sufficiently dried and the proper cream with concentrated amounts of anesthetic is utilized, many of our patients report that Dr. Beau Keller and Dr. Andrew's injections are the most painless they have ever received.
