Explore the State-of-the-art Technology
we utilize for our Exams, X-rays and Cleanings
IRIS High Definition Intraoral Camera
Da Vinci Dental utilizes only the most advanced technology to achieve an exceptional level of dentistry. One of our most critical components is the "IRIS HD Camera." The Iris allows us to see a level of detail which can't be seen with standard tools (mouth mirror) many dentists use on exams. The level of extreme detail the Iris delivers significantly improves our ability to detect dental issues far sooner than standard dental practices. Dental issues detected early are much easier and less expensive to fix than when they are allowed to progress.
Newtron Ultrasonic Cleaner
The Newtron Ultrasonic Scaler allows us to perform extremely gentle cleanings compared to a typical scaler. The gentle vibration of the cleaning tip separates the "tartar/build up" from the teeth in a way which is so comfortable patients may not even feel a thing.
Dexis Digital Xrays
Our Digital Xray system from Dexis permits us to see intracate details on teeth and surrounding jaw bone. These are superior to the standard xray films still used by a high percentage of offices. Our philosophy at Da Vinci Dental is EARLY DETECTION of all dental problems so they are far easier to treat. The intricate details Dexis Digital Xrays provide are paramount to us maintaining that philosophy.
Nomad Handheld Xray Devices
Our Nomad Handheld devices allow us to stay in the room with you while we take your Xrays. This is very helpful for your comfort as there is significantly less time with the potentially uncomfortable X-ray sensor in your mouth. We stay right by the your side at all times during this process.
Professional Grade Extraoral Cameras
Our professional grade extraoral cameras differ from our "intraoral" cameras in that we utilize these cameras to take photos of all the teeth at once and/or of the entire face/smile. Obtaining photos which demonstrate details all the teeth or face simultaneously are important for several reasons as they help:
-Detect issues which affect multiple teeth or all of the teeth (i.e teeth wearing down from grinding, gum recession, widespread cracking or staining)
-Analyze esthetics such as how the teeth currently appear when the patient smiles and the amount of gum tissue displayed.
-Analyze how the patient's jaw position relates to the rest of the skull/head and if correction is indicated
Tekscan Bite Force Analyzer
Currently less than 2% of dental practices have the Tekscan, which is a sensor we use to obtain accurate computer generated scans to demonstrate the exact amount of force a patient places on each tooth while grinding or biting down. Without the Tekscan, we feel it would be impossible to fully analyze all the factors which are critical to understand why patients' teeth may be hurting, cracking or wearing down. X-rays and cameras supply important VISUAL data, but the Tekscan supplies FUNCTIONAL data of how the teeth function. Nearly every day our Tekscan devices reveal useful data about our patients' bites that we would have been helpless to have made an accurate diagnosis without.
3D Scans of teeth
For the purposes of exploring potential Invisalign treatment, impressions can be transferred into 3D renderings of your teeth. The movements and straightening of your teeth is possible with Invisalign treatment which can be seen in a 3D video showing the progression of your teeth shifting into their optimal position.
