How Much Do Porcelain Veneers Cost?

Porcelain Veneers at Da Vinci Dental: $1,850 Per Veneer

If you're considering porcelain veneers, one of the first questions you probably have is simple:

How much will it cost?

At Da Vinci Dental, porcelain veneers are $1,850 per veneer, with a 4-veneer minimum.

Your total cost depends primarily on how many teeth need to be treated to create a natural, cohesive smile.

Number of VeneersTotal Cost

4 veneers$7,400

6 veneers$11,100

8 veneers$14,800

10 veneers$18,500

12 veneers$22,200

These are examples based on our current fee of $1,850 per veneer.

How Many Veneers Do You Need?

There isn't one number that is right for everyone.

We commonly see patients choose 4, 6, 8, 10, or 12 veneers, depending on how much of their smile is visible and what they want to change.

We consider:

  • How many teeth show when you smile and talk

  • Your smile width

  • Existing tooth proportions

  • Tooth color and shape

  • How much of your smile you want to change

  • How the veneers will transition into your natural teeth

For a wider smile, treating only the very front teeth may create an obvious transition into the natural teeth. In those cases, additional veneers may create a more seamless result.

The goal isn't to place as many veneers as possible. It's to treat the teeth necessary to create the smile you're trying to achieve.

What Affects the Cost of Veneers?

The price of a veneer is only one part of the equation. Practices can charge different fees because the overall treatment can be very different.

Experience

At Da Vinci Dental, we only do veneers.

Dr. Beau Keller and Dr. Andrew Keller have been involved in thousands of veneer cases. Repeated experience with veneers means seeing a wide range of tooth shapes, smiles, bite relationships, and cosmetic concerns.

Who Designs Your Smile?

This is an important question to ask.

The laboratory creates the porcelain. The dentist designs the smile.

Tooth length, width, proportions, contours, shade, translucency, smile width, and the relationship between the teeth, lips, and face all matter.

Our doctors personally guide the smile design.

Type of Porcelain

We use pressed e.max porcelain for our veneers.

Pressed e.max combines excellent strength with the translucency needed to create highly lifelike veneers.

Preparation Philosophy

Another major difference between practices is how much natural tooth structure is removed.

Our philosophy centers around minimal-prep veneers and, when appropriate, no-prep veneers.

The goal is to preserve as much healthy tooth structure as reasonably possible while still creating properly contoured, beautiful, functional veneers.

Not every patient is a candidate for no-prep veneers. Sometimes minimal preparation is necessary to create enough space or prevent the finished teeth from looking bulky.

What's Included?

The veneer fee covers the clinical treatment involved in planning and completing your porcelain veneers, including the doctor-driven evaluation and smile design, preparation when necessary, temporaries when appropriate, and final porcelain veneers.

Your consultation is where we determine what your smile actually needs.

We discuss:

  • How many teeth should be treated

  • Upper vs. lower veneers

  • Tooth length and proportions

  • Shade and translucency

  • Natural vs. more dramatic aesthetics

  • Minimal-prep or no-prep possibilities

  • How the veneers will transition into your natural teeth

Why Do Veneer Prices Vary Between Dentists?

When comparing practices, don't compare price alone.

Ask about:

  • How frequently the dentist performs veneers

  • Who designs the smile

  • What porcelain is used

  • How conservative the preparation is

  • Whether you can see many real before-and-afters

  • Who performs your treatment

  • What's included in the fee

One beautiful before-and-after doesn't tell you as much as seeing many consistent cases.

The most useful case isn't necessarily the most dramatic. It's the patient who started where you are starting.

Does Insurance Cover Veneers?

Most dental insurance plans do not cover veneers when they're performed primarily for cosmetic reasons. Coverage varies, so check your individual plan for specific benefits.

Can You Finance Veneers?

Da Vinci Dental offers financing through Cherry, CareCredit, and Sunbit.

Approval, interest rates, monthly payments, and available terms depend on the financing provider and your individual application.

Are Veneers Worth the Cost?

That depends on what you want to change.

Veneers can change much more than tooth color. They can improve shape, length, width, proportions, spacing, and apparent alignment at the same time.

If you only want whiter teeth, whitening may be a more conservative option. If you need significant tooth movement or bite correction, orthodontic treatment may be more appropriate.

The right treatment depends on your teeth and your goals.
